This is the goddamn mc who was striving to be a hero above everything else yet he did fuckall to try to attain that but somehow how gets bailed out because he damn near committed suicide which was oh so heroic. The whole setup is shit and if he showed even half the gumption he had after he was promised power beforehand it wouldn't be an issue. It's not series ruining but Deku's origin is not good
