First to preface things -- Normies are not people -- they do not have independent thoughts . Ideas and concepts are like Legos , they come prepackaged and just snap in their brains .
Because it sort of is a status symbol.... You can't take the bus to Costco, poor people don't shop there , but it's not conspicuous consumption , it is not luxury items . But it is still (( consumption !!! ))) Look at ME !! I consume so much I need to buy in bulk .
It's a way to trick the poors into spending money thinking they are saving money
