>Russians' expectations regarding their standard of living have plummeted to their lowest level since the end of 2022.
>The scale of the economic difficulties facing the country is beginning to sink in for Russians.
>Their economic expectations have sharply declined, according to a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM). Every month, FOM conducts surveys for the Central Bank on inflation expectations, consumer and savings sentiment, and quarterly asks about four economic indicators, using the responses to calculate indices assessing economic prospects.
>Recently, all indices have decreased, including three out of four significantly, indicating a worsening perception of the economic situation over the next year, FOM notes. The index assessing prospects for the population's standard of living fell most sharply: in October it stood at 85 points. This is 8 points lower than in July and the lowest value since December 2022.
