if they didn't force it into GI nobody would play it - just look at their other recent attempts at games outside of GI

they're using GI as a springboard to jumpstart adoption, assuming at least a portion of the braindead 12yo player population will flock to it like flies on shit and stick with it

if it ends up being as popular as I'm afraid it will be, they can always spin it out into a standalone thing down the road
