Paramecias are for the most part quite good, but yeah if you're unable you'll end up with the jacket fruit or Kinemon's clothes fruit. The problem is that the vast majority of Paramecias in the series rely entirely on their Devil Fruit so become one trick pony glass cannons. I'd love to see someone like Garp using Hina's Cage Fruit Awakened for example. Post-Haki Smoker's Logia is literally a bottom tier fruit.
