I like having 4 Hawk Riders so they can take out fast or flying targets with their abilities, and then having 1 Waystalker to lock down important targets, and then the rest is Waywatchers or Deepwood Scouts. With this army type there is basically nothing that can beat you as long as you're able to skirmish halfway decently.
Another thing to note is that you don't really want melee infantry UNLESS it's for an army that is strictly going to ambush, as if you do a melee infantry/archer army you'll find that they just get in the way of your skirmishing, and your archers will kill a lot of your own infantry too with friendly fire, as welves are generally low armour compared to the high damaged archers that will be shooting them in the back. Here's a basic army I am running right now that is practically unkillable, however you can absolutely deviate with 4-5 units of your choice in place of Waywatchers if you want, it just won't be as efficient but you don't really need max efficiency either.
