>he means no TAA
Modern games look awful without some kind of temporal renderer. Way worse than any eyesore of TAA. Having no AA at all is unusable, looks bad even at 4k, it's like watching a billion ants crawling all over your screen. Pixels flashing in and out of existence based on whether you move or not.

TAA is the standard rendering of graphically heavy 3D games and has been for the better part of a decade. Do you know why you'll never find a tech outlet considering an unantialiased image to be usable or worth referencing? Because they're not rabid contrarians and know it looks unusable.

Graphics have changed. MSAA is dead, SSAA is horribly inefficient in terms of how much FPS you lose for how little visual gain, FXAA/SMAA do nothing. The only people who think an unantialised image looks fine have not played games in this decade. You need some kind of temporalslop for complex graphics to address temporal aliasing, and TAA (the default one) has been supplanted by DLSS4 and FSR4.
