Nyponsoppa is a kind of fruit soup, and it's not savory, rather it's sweet, and very fruity. Thick consistency, it's made from the mentioned Rose Hip, sugar, potato flour, and water, the potato flour giving it its thickness.

It's pretty much a dessert, though you can eat it as a just a meal if you wanted to.
You can drink it straight out of the carton, and some people do, but the intention is that you pour it into a bowl, heat it, and eat it with a spoon. Or you could pour it into a big mug and drink it sort of like coffee or chocolate, but to a lot of people there's a joy in dropping in little almond biscuits (think like the sweet counterpart normal croutons), or putting in a scoop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream into the hot soup.

I never cared for the stuff very much myself, but I was also never that big on fruits and berries, much more preferring vegetables.

While I have your Swedish ear, I miss when Knorr used to sell that ready Goulash in a foil bag, that was one of the best soups I ever had. The ones they sell in a can isn't the same, it has way more salt, is a far smaller serving, and there's no paprika in it. How can one have Goulash without paprika?
