quite early into game but I feel like their attempt at combat is rough too, and would have been better if it were even closer to Souls games. For examples attacks have a very short range compared to dodging, so it really feels like you have to fish for that slight edge at which attacks will connect with what I feed like a minor but noticeable target magnetism.
This and the abundant dodge spacing and slow non run speed (running is barely faster than going full speed without sprinting in Souls games) makes it feel less deliberate.
