Holy shit. How incompetent are you all? Seriously. This is bad!

1) [mp3 is like mp4], there's likely a way to simply set a "start time"/"start offset", and no change the actual data at all.
2) Maybe you can do the same as #1 with a tag
3) You can make the cut and save to a lossless file (eg FLAC). If you can't hear the difference the between mp3-320k and flac, then what about (mp3-320k)^2 vs flac? or (mp3-320k)^3 vs flac?
4) Be a man and save the cut file to wav.
