In the U.S it's a totally normal normal thing people are neutral towards (and many guys, especially virgins fetishize), at least in the areas I've been in the most (MN and AZ). Protestants apparently see it as a way to preserve virginity for some reason despite God being pretty blunt about it in the bible, which I don't get.
Latinx and Blacks are most associated with it, while White/Asian girls are all over the place; usually being a sign of sluttiness if they like it.
