I need some of you to consider doing a double. I want you to work yourselves to exhaustion, and while you do, I want you to strategize. I want you to think about what you knew of Kirk, what Charlie taught you, and what you can do, in small ways, to start replicating Charlie.
These are not the only things Charlie was, but they are things I learned about Charlie.
He was nearly fearless. This wasn't the only time he had been in danger and he had faced threats for years because of his job.
He was well read. His personal library included political works, classic philosophical works, the Christian Bible as a foundation, and he consumed news and other recent books. Charlie proved that you are what you want to make of what you have been gifted, and you've been gifted enough.
Kirk was willing to be Uncomfortable and Look Wrong. There are multiple times where one can see Charlie angry, nervous, and tired, but because he believed in keeping the US from becoming a pit of violent barbarism and savagery under enemy destruction into ignorance, he came and spoke anyway.
Charlie was a Father, because he wanted to be what he was built to be as a man. Charlie could have sired thousands of babies with the women he met on his tours, but he knew that making Bastard Children Hurts The Child, and that child will then hurt others. Charlie wasn't out to hurt people for no reason.
Charlie was a Christian, he professed his faith in Jesus repeatedly.
Charlie planned his movements. His meetings were known in advance, and as he got bigger he utilized friends and hires to set up event spaces. He intended to be a figure in keeping the US from becoming an emotional wreck through bad philosophical and logical choices.
These are the things I can think of about Charlie for now. I want to have more, you will have more of your own. Find something, maybe from my words, definitely from your own, that you knew about Kirk's deeds, and add them to your life.
