don't bother, this guy must have never played those console (Xbox/DC), most people that put those 2 consoles at the bottom of their list never owned those.
I did owned all the consoles of that era (including the handled), and clearly, Xbox/DC were the only consoles pushing the industry forward, both in term of creativity, technology, art, gameplay and feature.

The Dreamcast wasn't afraid of experimenting a lot with various style of games and feature and the Xbox was "finalizing/polishing" what the Dreamcast started.

On the other side you did have the PS2 that was just pumping out sequels after sequels, with some good original game from time to time, yes, but all of them was for the most part "realistic" grounded, and far far far less original and risky than what the DC/Xbox were doing. The simple comparison of Halo vs Killzone, Xbox Live vs PSN is enough to make you understand who was really trying to push things forward here.
