However this term is actually a religious term as well meaning "Vajrapani" or "the wielder of the vajra". A "vajra" (the single pronged version is called a "独鈷/dokko" in Japanese) is a religious item used in Hinduism and Buddhism. In the literal sense of the chapter Hakubi simply calls his metal tentacles his "kongoshu"."
