Maybe this is just me - but why do we have to have a food shortage and food crisis at certain times of the year ?
/pol/ anons complain about the high egg prices and other food prices being high - but chickens, cows, and pigs aren't the only animals right ? Why don't we create mouse farms, rabbit farms, hell we can even have bison, deer, farms, bear farms, etc.

We don't just have to stick to eating mammals - there's so many crows and pigeons, why don't we eat them ? If my local supermarket stocked a pound of crow meat, I would buy it - it's just a bird, similar to chicken - what's wrong with it ?

And the Chinese eat all sorts of water bugs, land bugs, and some reptiles and amphibians too - we have those in plenty in the US and Canada - why do we have to restrict ourselves to chicken, beef, pork and lamb only ?

In some extreme cases, we can also allow the slaughter of certain members of the prison population too - for human consumption. All of these things don't happen because we keep ourselves bound by some archaic old ass laws that we gotta eat only chikin, pork and beef.

Who made these rules ? We should explore other meat options actively to solve the food prices issue.
