half this game's intended mechanics are carryover quake bugs. the other half are tf2 bugs that have become intended mechanics.
trimping was originally a physics bug until valve officially acknowledged it by making the degroot keep ramp for demomen. charge turning was a bug until valve acknowledged it by creating the tide turner. speedshots are a bug that only exist because an oversight in the code only resets vertical speed when you hit the ground and only in the following server tick does the game attempt to remove your horizontal speed. bhop gardening is obviously a bug because the game, similarly to speedshots, only tries removing your airborne status on the 2nd tick after landing.
