"Rumiko Takahashi: At first I tried to create a cool, cool character, but there were too many scandals in the government, so I ended up making him more weird. I liked that he wore glasses when he worked. I thought the reason he was bitter when he appeared was because he had such a deep resentment toward the Rokudo father and son."
