Why are Ossis belittled by Wessis?
Is it simply because Ossis showed weakness and subjected themselves completely to the West German system?
I mean while the DDR might not have been able to perform like the BRD both had very different starting points.
West Germany had the Marshal plan and generally the US didn't plunder them like the soviets plundered the DDR.
Furthermore West Germany could always trade with all the other advanced western countries while the eastern bloc was embargoed.
Speaking of trade, obviously a TOTALLY planned out system is economically inefficient.
Still, the DDR had the best living standards of the eastern bloc and it had some unique technologies like the MKF-6 space camera (the best of its time, look it up).
Is it just politically? Because Ossis aren't as "democratized"?
