Jon's Curse
You might find Jon to be really annoying but he seems to be unknowingly in control of the success of Fishtank. By analyzing every season concurrently with Jon's proximity and opinion on the show, it becomes clear that there is a Jon Curse on Fishtank.
In Season 1, it started with an incredible high that lasted the whole way until Jon left. The season then famously entered its low point before reaching another high near the end, which took place after Jon had returned as a freeloader.
In Season 2, production gaslit Jimmy into a breakdown which led to Jon publicly denouncing Fishtank for taking advantage of fellow tards like Jimmy. After that, season 2 entered its weakest nontent period.
Jon got back in the good graces of production and came on Bloodgames, which was widely considered the best Fishtank had been since the first season. Then Jon crashed out again and left, which resulted in the second week being mostly nontent. Jon quickly patched up with everyone though and Bitchtank wasn't affected by Jon's curse.
Season 3 began well, with Jon being promised by Sam to be a freeloader during the season's final act - until at the last minute they ghosted Jon and did the RV arc instead which ended up being an incredible disaster for the season.
Between Season 3 and 4, Jon's relationship with production was completely severed, and the result was that Season 4 barely limped out of the gate and was cancelled early.
Looking at all the evidence, there appears to be a 1:1 connection between Jon's feelings toward the show and its success. I know it sounds crazy but the connection is there. If I was to brainstorm a solution to Jon's Curse, well Jet should probably pay Jon a regular salary to keep him happy and have him come on each season of Fishtank at least as a freeloader from now on.
