Because the Yasuke presented in Shadows would have been known for all the things he did by basically everyone to this day including people in the west just for how much he singlehandedly shaped Japan's trajectory as a whole. That's the first issue.
The second issue is that a black man who even in-game is 1 foot taller tan anyone else and is regularly referred to as an oni/giant wandering around murdering Japanese people would be something everyone documents.
The third issue is that there would be no way any civilian would be selling this black man weaponry. Short of him murdering them for their weaponry they would instantly be blamed for anything he does with that weaponry or at the very least have things traced back to them, and he would constantly be accosted for wearing weaponry at all.

Yasuke in Shadows is complete nonsense in terms of believability. I don't want to type this all out again so refer to here >>725805961, but it is impossible to believe the Yasuke presented in Shadows would have so little written about him when people who did significantly less important things than him like teach a sword style have their entire life known about them.

There is no reason for him to be forgotten of in terms of the game's lore. There is simply far too much that he did that would cause him to be remembered in history when people like Nene and Oichi are to this day remembered in such detail, especially since he's a gigantic black man executing people in broad daylight for Nobunaga and then on his own for years within Japan after his death.
>He directly fought a man's students in front of Nobunaga and a bunch of his friends to earn his place as a samurai which everyone witnessed.
>He not only instigated but was also the spearhead for the Iga assault.
>He was implied to continue to fight as Nobunaga's right hand man for months after that while Naoe was recovering.
>Every single daimyo personally knew him at one point since he sat in on war plans with Nobunaga.
>He killed major heads of state after Nobunaga's death.
>He is the direct cause of Mitsuhide's death and did it in front of an entire group of onlookers who were shocked he did so with Naoe.
>There's an entire side quest where a guy outright says he's a historian who will write about various clans and mentions Yasuke's made his mark on history (Though I guess you can view that as bringing the crests to keep their memories alive).
>He was one of Marume's closest friends and sparring partners on top of being the literal master of Nobutsuna's Shinkage-ryu style yet history remembers those two people but not him.
>People in the Kakushiba Ikki were literally learned people who all could read and write, including Yasuke being personal friends with the Biwa Master and Sen no Rikyu.
>He was direct friends with Luis Frois who not only sympathized with Yasuke, but was also a man of the cloth who literally could read and write and did so about Japan's differences to Portugal.

Picture related is how they handwave away all this. They do not explain why he's not known of in modern times outside of Yukari seething in her dying breaths.
