i could call palestinians "first nation" people and be absolutely right for it, and it would make people fly into murderous rage. but it's okay when it's used in other countries. it's not used, for example, in the congo. it doesn't matter if the people you're calling this have been there since the dawn of time. people would look at you weird if you called them that in a conversation. they would stop and think about it.
