The main issue with anime sensei is that he became the "default" face of the franchise.

All the marketing uses his design.
All the merch uses his design.
All the anime adaptations uses his design.
In-game text is now writen under the assumption that he looks like this.
As result of this, when normalfags think of BA, anime Sensei is the first thing that comes to their mind.

I don't think his design is good enough to be be so prominent and shilled.
