>use an ironic shitpost or derogatory OP. Most schizos see threads like these as ones that'll 404 too fast to be worth the effort or already-claimed turf
>do the "/v/ when talking about a non-vidya thing" bit but in reverse and just have a thread on /co/, /a/, etc. (depends on the board, wet blankets like the /tg/ and /gif/ jannies WILL instaban you if you try this)
>flood the fuck out of any corresponding /vg/ threads with drivel to keep those subhumans preoccupied with their thread over yours
>become an even more prevalent (albeit mostly harmless) schizo/ritualposter to steal their attention, artifactposter is a golden example of this approach for how well he held down most Valve threads with only one or two posts in each with no images
