+4, there's an extra immortal option that gives you up to four extra random disciples but they each have problems with them, it's still work taking them for the extra hands, and the last one I invited back to my sect as a labourer and unlike pic related they didn't get stuck behind a mountain and die.

I'm actually not completely sure any more. I know their tribulation timers stop ticking down, I don't know about age.
