But Sweden is not worse off than countries like France, Germany or even the Netherlands.

On top of that we barely have any police and the distances makes it possible to self isolate.
Lack of police helps in that regard.
I would however recommend living near a city or town, like pic rel.
1km from the coastal city of Ystad and a reasonable price (150K €, 1200 sqm plot and 120 sqm living space).
