A Finnish supplier of studs to Russia has gone almost bankrupt due to sanctions on aluminum, according to the Yle television and radio company.
The European Union imposed an embargo on the export of aluminum products to Russia in the summer.
Turvanasta, a company based in the Finnish city of Turku, is a manufacturer of studs for car tires. After the sanctions on the export of aluminum products were imposed, the company faced significant challenges. In October, the company announced a staff reduction, with a total of 50 employees out of a total workforce of 150.
