Culture & law does have an overlap, so in those particular instances; the law should take itself into account. If their land itself has no laws (like most areas out at sea for example) I think now it’s just a matter of morals. In which case; that can go either way.

But laws shouldn’t be broken in favor of culture — unless the culture itself isn’t harmful to itself or others involved.
