SURELY we will see trillions of dollars of output thanks to AI though. SURELY we have a massive production base that will justify pumping literal capital-T Trillions of dollars into an industry that thus far has quite literally no end goal, tangible productive output, or potential for the future beyond accelerating otherwise mundane tasks. I really do think it will be fascinating when this bubble bursts and there's thousands of articles that will be written about how nobody could have seen the signs and that the outlandish financial losses need to be covered through government bailouts.
