All the heretic stuff is really bothering me, I'm wondering where they're going with them in the story. Raptures are quickly going from horrifying mechanical monsters to a bunch of goofy dindunuffins. Heretics are so free willed and have so much personality. Turns out the Four Beasts have just casually made their own city no one knew about?
It really seems when a heretic's not engagued in their employment or maturing their evil plans their capacity for innocent enjoyment is just as great as any other nikke.

Would it ruin the setting if it turned out there a secret, parallel society of heretics? Weak ones, young ones who hadn't made it out to queen's guard level like the Off Springs. Farmers, bakers, entertainers, basically heretic versions of all the squads in the Ark.
