I think that at some point Denji will have to overcome his basic instincts, his lust, anger and fear of being alone in order for the character to grow and actually be remembered for something else than dumb chainsaw horny teenager. Part 1 worked so well thanks to its ending and Denji starting to show some growth. I can undersand what Part 2 is about and how Denji went from broken young man with a bit of hope to this empty shell of a man.... but as it stands out, it's taking too long for his character to learn and everytime something happens he takes a step backward and comes back to where he started off. I feel like Fujimoto doesn't want to tell anything more about Denji and so he just makes a meme out of him for laughs, shock value or something. It's a bit of shame imo because Denji perfectly represents the average young male nowadays in first world countries and a lot of people can relate to his character.
