>pure alsa
No, not "pure alsa". ALSA is an abomination with no documentation that requires dirty hacks to support mixing and configuring it is like doing voodoo. snido is a real sound server ported to many flavors of *nix with real documentation that's easy to program for. Hence why it's so widely supported both through OpenBSD port patches and by many applications by default.

>do you really daily drive that?
No. I daily drive a 1974 Chevy C10 with three on the tree and aftermarket over drive. But OpenBSD is my desktop for all my laptops and some of my desktops yes.

>how does it compare to jails in FreeBSD?
OpenBSD considers the "stuff it into a container for security" to be a dead end. Pledge/Unveil require the developer to think about what they're doing and to drop/restrict access by default. There are several talks on this issue that you can find on places like youtube.

You are so wrong and ignorant that I'm not going to bother to reply to the rest of your post. Pic related.
