The fact that the Triforce pieces are always repaired super easily made it seem like breaking it apart wouldn't be too hard either. Especially when WW showed the Triforce of Wisdom gluing itself back together onscreen.
And even then, ALBW served as a cool addition by showing what happens if you managed to REALLY destroy the Triforce.
