I dunno, One Piece is pretty popular right now, and most of its new audience probably think the pre-Wano Toei anime is outdated and slow. So the Wit remake kinda makes sense to me, though ultimately it's the timeskip parts of One Piece that really needed a remake, and I doubt they'll get there.
