I personally, particularly during anni/new year's time, pull on the character banners so I can build up my gold tickets, since I know pilgrims are coming. like >>535639719 said avoid using jims on the standard banners. I wait till events or codes to give me blue tickets to pull and if need be, I use jims on the actual pilgrim banner, that way I can have a chance at getting them while also building goldies.
