Drawfrens I need some tips how to make animal companion stand out/ make it different than other animals. Im talking about "fantasy" type of animals, but not to the point of toon or disneyish.
Are there any general or more niche tips? Like with pixel art and how you arrange pixels in lines.

Like this one from ZZZ. He wear a hat. Pretty basic but effective. He also carry character weapon/umbrella when its on her back.
