NTA, but it's different west of the Rockies. I'm also in western WA. I don't like shooting on public land because of retards and weirdos, so I pay to play on logging land. It's cheaper than range membership at most clubs. The downside is that it's almost an hour away, but seeing as how I can camp there, hunt there, forage there, collect firewood there, fish there, and basically do whatever the fuck that I want there as long as I don't hurt the new crop of trees, I'm pretty happy with it. It's seldom that I see other people there (the upside of paying to play is avoiding the tragedy of the commons), it's clean, and I'm completely left alone, even when having fun with the super safety. For a completely cucked state, WA's forests are all right. At least the private ones.
