Basically with the body cam and the electronic records from him running the fake I.D, he really could not get out of arresting her. If he let her go and something bad happened, he and the department would be on the hook in civil court. Also, if he let her go after she gave him a fake I.D while drinking on the beach while being under the legal age to drink, he could have gotten in trouble internally with his department for being too lenient ( which his supervisors would have seen as him being lazy and dodging a report/arrest).
