I finally watched it last year after putting it off for ages. it has its low points, but overall I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. The MISUNDERSTANDINGS aren't as egregious as people would have you believe because the main cast is composed of teenagers and/or very, very broken/screwed up people (who are blatantly established to be broken/screwed up), so the communication problems feel a little more understandable than you'd think. There are still a lot of telenovela-tier dramatic contrivances, yes, but they aren't all ridiculous.
