Deck is a side gig for Valve, in that sense, its been very successful
its naturally going to have a slower adoption rate since most of its potential customers will be people who already have Steam accounts and likely gaming PCs, but its always been marketed towards a niche and its been very popular within that niche
It also functions as a mini PC, so it can be used in the same way you'd use a laptop and is highly customizable for people that value that versatility in a device
