you guys get what political violence is, right? I feel like a lot of people, and a lot of influencers in the last couple days don't really understand
Taxation is political violence. If you support taxation, you support the state pointing a gun at people and taking their money. All government is ultimately violence. This is just human nature, and we accept it because we don't have a better way to get along. It's also true that all democracy is violence. When you cast a vote, you're advocating for violence based on the political positions you're voting for. We accept that this is how democracy works.
Many are saying that charlie kirk only wanted debate and conversation. But he also advocated to take away the rights of a lot of people. When charlie kirk said that women shouldn't be able to get abortions, that's advocating for a small number of women to die at the hands of the state. When he said that school shootings were a tolerable sacrifice for the 2nd amendment, he was fully aware that he was advocating for political violence in the form of dead children. If he said that gay people shouldn't get married, or trans people shouldn't have guns, he is once again advocating for political violence to be done on these people should they disagree with those laws. And I'm sure he would have accepted any deaths that happened as a result.
Again, everyone exercises political violence through voting for policies, but charlie kirk spent most of his life advocating to remove rights from women, trans people, gay people, etc., which again can only be done through violence. And charlie kirk has a much greater reach than 99.9% of people, who can only legally exercise violence through voting.
