I'm sold. I love Spikey's weird idiosyncrasies. Unlike some jerk like Tarantino who likes to call attention to his style by doing the same things over and over and over again, Spike just keeps doing new things for the hell of it without regard for what effect it might have on the film. Probably the most experimental commercial film director today. Putting that Indian pop song at the start of Inside Man solely because he heard it in some Bollywood movie and liked it is the funniest thing he has ever done, but from what I hear, Highest 2 Lowest is even funnier.
