Well when people say "ESL" they just mean you have poor English rather than it literally and specifically being your second language since you know the idea is that you would be worse at any language you know that isn't your main unless you specifically are talking about them which in that case only they would know what was their second language since English could be their third or fourth.

Don't worry about it that happens to me too! Sometimes I look at a word I've written for decades and think "Man this word really looks like this?" and lets not get started at me typing a sentence and then noticing that I'm writing gibberish after sending it.
