I've been meaning to do a sound pass and add some compression for nearby sounds, that's a big priority before release.

It would be but I don't think the game is worth the investment. The dialog is shown in the pause menu but that will obviously break the flow.

I want the game to release within a couple of months and don't have much I can add in that time so what you see now will be most of what you get.
