I still get asked by my dipshit antivaxx relatives if I have any health problems after getting double vaxxed + boosted for COVID and I always just chuckle and shake my head then remind them that it's people like them who would've allowed polio to still be a major issue if they had their way. Grow up.

Under the FLSA, employers are allowed to pay tipped employees (like servers, bartenders, etc.) less than the standard federal minimum wage, as long as:
>The employee regularly receives more than $30/month in tips.
>The employer ensures that tips + base wage equal at least the federal minimum wage (currently $7.25/hour).

The base wage can be as low as $2.13/hour federally — this is known as the tip credit system.
>The employer can claim a tip credit of up to $5.12/hour.
So:
>$2.13/hour (employer pays) + $5.12/hour (employee tips) = $7.25/hour (minimum wage)
