Looks like Siberia has been bombed to hell. Pic related is Lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world with areas over 1.5 km deep... and its clearly a strip mine. The great lakes also look like strip mines, and they don't appear on maps earlier than the 'i600s', though I don't know if the 'i600s' were ~400 years ago, or ~2400 years ago, or even older than that. Any idea on timelines?
Is this the case, with collapse between each?
1. The mountains are ancient melted infrastructure from a god like civilization, capable of synthesizing infinite matter at will(Not human)
2. Then comes a civilization that is incapable of synthesizing infinite matter at will, so they mine the old infrastructure creating kilometers deep great lakes and other extreme depth lakes(Humans created here as mining/logistics slaves?)
