that is learned behavior and this is indicated by the NA/JP split
JP has historically always queued for high end content, there exists a smaller community for PF but it's still a queue-first mentality
NA has historically always made PFs for things, wanting utmost control over who joins or not, and rarely queues for high end content, if ever
first, this has created a gigantic dissonance between the JP developers and the NA community
second, it has enforced a do-or-die mindset in NA where the community takes it upon itself to always be the one to come up with a "solution" instead of try the intended ways, usually by appointing community heads to vet players such as static leaders and discord moderators who oversee community collaborations
I have been playing this game since 1.0 I have seen many eras of the game come and go but ever since shadowbringers the NA raid scene has become unbearable
yes a lot of the blame falls on SE but I won't let people sit there and act like this is normal behavior and act like there aren't alternatives
