Is this the birth or the end of days? Darkness or light?" I think Elfilis arrived on a meteor as well, but it was a meteor of light to compliment his brother's meteor of darkness. Elfilin mentions being "wrapped in the starries' embrace" before, implying he was once crystalized by them. Perhaps after enough time being sealed up, they may change from bad to good. For all we know the starries are what awakened the supressed Elfilin, since we know Elfilis deliberately ignores his kinder side to engage in destructive campaigns throughout the galaxy.

I have another theory. You can see damage and signs of incomplete repairs in several places like the Natural Plains cityscape, and I think this damage was caused by Elfilis. It couldn't have been done after the planet was abandoned since they obviously tried to fix it, but for all we know some of these places were closed down before the final departure. One place that has no construction is Wondaria, which was built after Elfilis' capture. Holine was the company who worked on these projects, but they were stopped after funds were dedicated to developing spaceships. Alivel Mall may have fallen into disrepair before it was even forsaken by the former inhabintants.
