Wotan sacrificed himself to bring us the runes. They are a plug and play magic system, they can be combined, used consecutively, or used alone. They can be drawn, visualised, carved, and they have very real effects. You won't levitate or win the lotto but you'll especially notice their effectiveness in spiritual battles. I have now held my own against witches and demons in the astral, and even uncovered some deceptions. The old Norse way has come into my life and the effect has been profound.

I am not sure about younger futhark or the Amarnen runes, however I have already found use for elder futhark and their effects in my life.
