How much do you care about said car? Would you be opposed to screw-on/adhesive under dash holster? That's faster to access. I don't personally have one at the moment because I don't want to put holes in any part of the interior of any of my cars because they are all classics, but I've used one in the past with a winter beater and they're out of sight and easy to use.

Personally, I think if your car's interior is completely empty, it is pretty unlikely to get broken into unless you're in the hood. Those fast draw car safes (pic related) are dumb imo because they're just a clearly visible indicator of valuables to the scum casing cars in a parking lot. My current favorite method is a holster that is clipped to one of the metal rods under my seat in one of my cars, and the others either have door pockets that will fit a gun or a space between the seat and center console. If you look in any car I own it's empty aside from a fire extinguisher and my dash cam.
