>There'd be a massive blood donation drive in China
Or they'd slowly build up national stockpiles before secretly moving them to the theater of operations like any other competent military building up for an invasion.
They likely don't even need to force a landing. Taiwan is incredibly fraglie economically and completely reliant on imports for everything except water. The PLAN just needs to keep a blockade on long enough for Taiwan to accept a 1997 Hong Kong like deal. Don't even need to move ground troops in, just police. Then, just like Hong Kong, wait a bit so that the youth don't remember it any other way and slowly squeeze down until the CCP can just do whatever it wants, whenever it wants to.
>inb4 USN can beat the PLAN
Yes. If they have the cooperation of Japan and/or South Korea, which are not givens. They wouldn't need to beat the whole USN either, just prevent whatever the USN has in the Western Pacific from intervening before Taiwan gives in. The PRC can do that with political maneuvering like letting Trump play "arbitrator" and economic concessions to the US. Or they can do it militarily. The whole island doesn't need to be captured over night. The Chinese just need a toehold on the island that they can exploit to salami tactics their way to victory 40 years from now.
